Oh no, it's Freeland....!

...who angered us all last season? As the game was about to kick off, the usual trepidation regarding Mr Freeland went through my mind. Would it be the good ref or bad ref? During the initial exchanges, he called the decisions correctly in my opinion.

Hah, good start I thought, but where's the catch??

Strangely enough, there was to be no catch. He handled the game very well was unnoticeable for much of the time. No, I haven't had a "tap on the heid", I genuinely believe he had a good game. He also allowed Juanjo the luxury of escaping a booking after only about two minutes on the park, by ignoring his "acrobatic" tumble.

If I were to make one criticism, it would be that he could have booked one or two Killie players for persistent fouling. Easily glossed over though.

A fine performance over the piece and a merited 8/10.
