Now Is The Winter Of Our Discontent.....

Reading the title, no wonder Craig Brewster may well be in trouble. Whilst it may have been his own stupidity that aided his own red card, there were a lot of other refereeing errors that justify the criticism.

We had a few penalty claims, some of which when looked at again, seem justified. Penalty awarded? No. Barry Wilson was certainly halted in his tracks in the first half and, although, there wasn't a lot in it at first, when Darren Dods tussled with Stewart in the area, television replays show that they have been awarded for a lot less.

We had an attempt to make Richie Hart about 4 inches shorter, when he had his feet almost removed in a challenge. Free kick given? No. Surely then, Hart deserved a booking for a "theatrical" dive. Nope again. And, as I said, the Hibs fans were none too happy with him either. On a few occasions, Brian Winter awarded decisions to ICT that seemed to have been destined to go to the home side.

Even at the final whistle, he managed to miss most of the "handbag" grievances between the two sets of players.

To be fair, his assistants had, IMO, good games. They were reasonably well up with play, and called the offside decisions effectively.

Overall, Mr Winter gets a 4/10 His assistants are given a creditable 8/10.
