A decent performance....

And so to Livingston. Eagerly(?) awaiting the next thrilling installment of "How bad was the ref this week", I discovered that Mike Ritchie appeared to be in jovial mood. Even m,anaged to smile during his pre-match warm-up.

Play started and throughout the first half, it has to be said that Mr.Ritchie was in fine form. No joking here, he really did have a good half. Hardly noticed he was there. Then the second half. As I awaited the downfall of a surprisingly good first-45 refereeing performance, it came as a shock that he intended to have a good game. To be fair he did. The only criticism would be that the "letter of the law" wasn't applied when Strong tried to knock a few people about, but in hindsight, it was handbags-at-dawn stuff and was probably dealt with appropriately.

The linesmen too weren't too bad, but the guy in front of the away fans was incorrect with one or two decisions.

Overall, a fine performance meriting a creditable 8/10.

Never thought I would say this, but well done ref!
