Tel Wants To Bolster Backline

ICT had the worst possible start to the season, and Butch conceded there was a “certain naivety” about his team’s defending.

And the gaffer is now keen to add to a defence that already includes new boys Tom Aldred, Josh Meekings and most recently Austrian full-back Thomas Piermayr, who signed a one-year deal last week.

But the club is expected to get in more trialists this week.

Butcher told the Inverness Courier: “Poor defending at certain times cost us dear against Motherwell, especially at the second goal.

“There was a certain naivety to our defensive play and that is something that we’ll need to iron out, so we’ll be looking at it this week in training.

"However, we still need to get our full compliment of defenders in and I’m working hard to try and do that just now.”
