The card, dished out by referee Stephen O'Reilly when Celtic cheat Georgios Samaras reacted as if he'd been taken out by a sniper, has not even been reduced to a yellow meaning the SFA believes that no punishable foul was committed at all.
Hopefully Inverness Caley Thistle will push for retrospective punichment for both the cheating Celtic player - now proved to have deliberately dived by the SFA - and the referee who made the obvious error.
Confirming the decision, the SFA's website contains this message:
A Fast Track Tribunal convened today in accordance with the Judicial Panel Protocol considered the following case:
Player: Greg Tansey, Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC
Match: Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC v Celtic FC, Saturday 19 November 2011
Complaint: Claim of wrongful dismissal for serious foul play
Outcome: The Tribunal upheld the Player Reference and rescinded the red card.
