Caley Jags stalwart Roy McBain has gone on emergency loan to Brechin City for the rest of the season.

McBain, who is out of contract this summer, was set to join Brechin in January but the loan deal fell through when he picked up an injury.

Caley Jags gaffer Terry Butcher feels this is an opportunity for McBain, described on the official ICT website as "one of the cleverest passers of the ball to grace a Caley Thistle shirt", to gain some much needed game time.

McBain has made 271 appearances for Caley Jags and scored 15 goals, and received a testimonial last autumn.

Roy will link up at Glebe Park with former Caley Thistle player Rory McAllister, who has been in fine scoring form this season, attraction attention from Aberdeen.
