The news is not all doom and glooms though as Stuart Golabek (groin), Roy McBain (knee) and Liam Keogh (groin) continue to make progress, although all will still be missing for the game at Easter Road.
Also returning to full training this week are Stuart McCaffrey, who has been out with a back injury, and Graham Bayne, who has been suffering from an ankle injury.
Our other injured star, Juanjo, who has been out since April with an Achilles injury, played a full 90 minutes against Celtic reserves this week. However Craig Brewster has warned fans not to expect to see Juanjo playing for a few weeks yet.
Brewster said: "It is far too early to be thinking about bringing Juanjo back into the first-team picture. He still needs about five or six games before being match fit.
While you can train every day, a first-team match is a completely different ball game and thankfully he is experienced enough to know that."
