The Sky-Old Firm circus surrounding the game means that there is a whirlwind of media overkill ahead of the fixture, but big Ryan knows he and his teammates must focus on the 90mins and get a result.

The 31-year-old stopper must be disappointed to have missed out on a Scotland call-up this week especially with Matt Gilks withdrawing through injury, but he is concentrating on keeping clean sheets for his club.

He told the Inverness Courier: “Their reputation goes before them, but we just have to concentrate on ourselves. Yes, they have good players, but the only thing we can affect is what we do.

“We need to start picking up points, so we’ll look forward to trying to do that against Rangers.

“We’ve done fairly well in the majority of games we’ve played against Rangers in the past, but it’s difficult because they have quality all over the park.

“We just need to look at ourselves. Our performances so far have been reasonable and we’re taking positives from the chances we’ve created over the first three games, although we know we need to work on the defensive side of things.”
