Stand out midfielder Ian Black is set to be offered an extension to his current contract.
Brewster said of the ex-Blackburn youngster “Ian is a free agent next summer but we’re looking at offering him an extended contract later this year.”
“At 20 he’s one of a group of young players, who are the future of this club. He has done extremely well.”
Blackie, who was joined in Inverness by ex-Blackburn teammate Alan Morgan last month, has only started 12 games for the Caley Jags but it comes as no surprise to those of us who have witnessed his performances this season that Brewster wants to hold on to this rising star.
Another Star of Caley Thistle’s first team, Mark Brown, is hoping to become the first keeper in our short history to keep 50 clean sheets. With our next three games at home, Motherwell then Hearts in the league, followed by Dundee Utd in the CIS cup, Mark hopes to achieve this by the end of the month and in front of an appreciative Inverness audience.
