Last week there were reports of County trying to sign Steve Hislop on loan. This week Gillingham have joined the race. Neal Cooper, who signed Hissy for County in 2001 has approached Caley Thistle with a view to taking him down south on a loan deal.
Hissy played the last twenty minutes of the game against Falkirk and seemed hungrier than ever to make his mark in the SPL. However with such a long lay off, it may be to our advantage if Hissy is allowed to get some match practice elsewhere. Any deal that went beyond Christmas would, I believe, be suicide for the Caley Jags, unless Brewster is planning on adding another striker to his squad.
Director of football, Graeme Bennet, would only confirm that Gillingham had made an approach.
