Inverness striker Adam Rooney insists the top six of the Scottish Premier League remains the Highlanders' target despite a win-less streak.Caley Thistle have not won in 11 SPL outings but remain in fifth place.
But top scorer Rooney remains confident and said: "I know people are saying it's a bad run.
"But we had Rangers twice, away at Celtic and games against other in-form teams, so we're still looking at the teams above and not behind."
Rooney fired in his 17th and 18th goals of a profitable season in the 3-3 draw away to St Mirren as a penalty and a defensive lapse from the Irishman himself helped the Buddies to a precious point.
I'm delighted to be playing regularly, especially when the team is playing well and we're high up the league which I want to keep going
But the 22-year-old considered it two points dropped in Paisley.
"We're all disappointed as we didn't play as well as we can do in the second half," he told BBC Scotland.
"When you go ahead twice in a game, you feel that you should go on and win it.
"But we've made the 30-point barrier now, which was a big aim for us.
"It's taken longer to get there than it should have, but we're there now. Hopefully we can kick on now."
Rooney's future was the subject of speculation during the January transfer window, with moves to clubs at home and abroad suggested.
However, the Irishman has reiterated his commitment to the Inverness cause and insists he won't be leaving any time soon.
"I was happy to stay at Caley and still am," he said.
"I'm delighted to be playing regularly, especially when the team is playing well and we're high up the league, which I want to keep going.
"But, between now and the end of the season, I just want to score as many goals as I can and hopefully we can finish as high as we can."
Rooney was at the centre of one of the misses of the season during their Scottish Cup fifth-round victory over Morton last weekend - despite actually hitting the target twice in that game as well.
It cost him a hat-trick and he admits he has been the butt of the training-ground jokes all week as a result.
"I wasn't allowed to forget about the miss unfortunately," he added.
"The lads were ripping me a bit and it's been on national telly.
"I just try not to watch it anymore, but I'm always confident in front of goal and I'll forget about last week now with two goals again since then."
