My fellow Marchers

Talking to some of the players and the gaffer was truly amazing and for CB to mention us in his speech was awesome. Rossco won all the awards but to me they are all winners.
Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and the emotions of saying our farewells to our fellow Highland Marchers was, perhaps, the toughest of all the previous days that had gone before us. We’d been through thick and thin, good days and bad days, but now was the time to confine this week on the road to history and begin to look back on some truly amazing Highland Marchers.

My fellow Marchers
Captain ITN: Totally focussed - dedication to the core. Ruddy nutcase.
Colour Sergeant Gringo Junior: On top of Munro at 0835 on your 21st birthday! – Total respect. Never fazed and always trying to stay one step ahead.
Sergeant Doz: Completed her first HM. More respect. Doesn’t like dead animals! But likes Marston’s Pedigree.
Lance Corporal Fro’ In: Just a ‘fakin wierdo’. Complete head case even without the wig. Great cook too!
Private Brew XI: Another nutter and HM virgin. Showed real grit by completing this HM with a knackered knee. Total respect Dude.
Private Pauliebee: His first ever HM and completed in some stile. Doesn’t tread on many frogs! but likes to fall in rivers!
Private Mrs Pauliebee: Another HM virgin and also completed it in some stile. Loves doing MFR interviews to prompt phone calls from mum.
Officer Cadet ITN Jnr: Joined the HMers from the 6th day. Showed real grit and determination. A definite future H.M. regular.
Officer Cadet Radio Caroline: Joined us for the final two and a half days on the HM. Found it a big eye opener but unfazed for next year.
Corporal Nifty Thrifty (Colin Miller): A true superstar without whose help none of this would have happened – a 100% top bloke. He put up with nutters all week. We love you Col’.

Total Team Gringo Ped’ Reading: 135.12 miles. 247075 steps
