South Stand all ticket

With relegation still a real possibility for Dundee Utd, this Saturdays home game against the Arabs has added interest for the away fans. United are reportedly laying on free buses in order to get as much backing as they can for this crucial game. With some observers claiming there may be between three and four thousand making their way up the A9, Caley Thistle have decided to make the south stand all ticket.

While the club must be commended for taking quick and decisive action we have to ask if it is decisive enough. We all remember the debacle that was the Celtic game. We have received assurances from the club since, that there would be no repeat of the disturbing scenes we faced that night. Yet the club have not made plans to give Dundee Utd an extra allocation of seats and they have not made the home end all ticket. There is, in essence, nothing to stop Utd Fans turning up without a ticket and strolling into the home end.

Yes they could simply buy a ticket for the home end but would it not put a lot of supporters of travelling altogether, if it were announced that the whole stadium was all ticket. Would it not also make sense, considering the relative importance of this match to both sets of fans, to devise a way of giving Dundee Utd more tickets? Perhaps by allocating the uncovered seats nearest the away stand to away support.
