Dundee FC have announced that ticket prices for Saturdays game, against Inverness Caley Thistle, will be reduced to £10 for adults and £5 for concessions. Concession prices apply to over 60’s and under 16’s. The away support, who will be housed in sections A, B and C of the main stand at Dens Park will also be charged these prices.
Dundee are rooted to the bottom of the SPL table and the reduced ticket price is, undoubtedly, an attempt encourage supporters to turn up for a crucial last home game of the season.
Whilst ICT are not in the same position, a lot has been made of the difference in prize money between 7th and 8th in the table. It has also not gone unnoticed that, since the split, the team have lacked the determination and motivation that has taken them so far this season.
With this in mind I would like to call on the powers that be to reduce ticket prices for our game against Dundee Utd. A large crowd may be just what the players need and any reduction in gate receipts could be made up from the extra prize money.
