CIS Cup Draw

Last updated : 25 September 2005 By John Kelly

The big news from the draw is that the Old Firm have been drawn together. This, along with the fact that the all-conquering Hearts are already out, must have every team, left in the cup, eyeing up a piece of silverware.

Caley Thistle can be no exception and having never appeared in a national final, the will and determination will also be there. First, though, we must face our old adversary Livingston FC. Livi’s form in the league has not been good but you have got to give them credit for being the only team to have beaten Hearts, in a competitive game, this season and as the team that put Hearts out, they will not fear anyone.

We have our work cut out for us but I believe we have been handed a very favourable draw. The semis are beckoning and once there it is only a small step to a showcase final at the national stadium.

Full draw is :-

Celtic v Rangers

Dunfermline v Hibs

Livingston v ICT

Motherwell v Aberdeen
